Pageflakes allows users to design their own personal homepage, include RSS feeds, news headlines, calendars, to do list and more.
Click on the Pageflakes logo above and you will be taken to my Pageflake profile where you can view my first pageflake which I now use as my homepage! Feel free to post a comment on my message board! For the purpose of this assigment I have made my pageflake public so that other students in my class can view it, however in the future I think I will keep it as a private page for my own personal use.

How could I use this tool as a professional educator?
I have found this tool to be useful in a way that it gives me a direct view on updates on topics that are incorporated in my professional networking communities such as me.edu.au. On my first pageflake down the right hand column I have included several RSS feeds from my me.edu.au profile. This gives me an easy way of viewing any updates without visiting the page or logging in. There are endless amounts of different flakes that you can add to your page, which i think is great because I can have the ability to create themed pages for example a professional page for teaching content only, and a personal page for my private life, as wellas a student page that students can comment on and learn things through.

How could I use this tool in the Primary Classroom?
The teacher could create their own page that is only viewable by the students, where students could ask the teacher questions about their school work. There are flakes for file storage, grade tracking and blogs. These could all be used on student's personal pageflakes as a way of keeping track on class projects and how they are doing academically. This tool would be more suitable for upper primary and high school students as it is a bit complicated to use but still easy enough to manage.
